Deep vein thrombosis, or DVT, is a blood clot that forms in a vein deep in the body. Most deep vein clots occur in the lower leg or thigh. If the vein swells, the condition is called thrombophlebitis. A deep vein thrombosis can break loose and cause a serious problem in the lung, called a pulmonary embolism. A vein of minerals could be found anywhere. A vein is simply a long enclosed area underground filled with a particular type of mineral. Sometimes underground mines involving removing a particular.

The clinical diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis of the lower limb is unreliable. Individual signs and symptoms are of little value, and Homan's sign is of no value. 2,3 A clinical model has been devised (table), and prospectively validated in a large series, whereby patients are classified as having a high, intermediate, or low probability of developing deep vein thrombosis Cited by:

Slide the finger closest to your body along the vein, while keeping the other finger still. This should squash the blood out of the vein. Lift one finger, then the other. Do the same process but lift your fingers in the other order.

VEIN TO VEIN Working together to ensure a healthy national blood supply: • Encourage routine blood donations to promote the stability of the blood supply. • Use O+ blood in emergency situations to preserve the limited supply of O– blood for those who truly need it. • Make single-unit red blood cell orders the preferred practice.

Vein-type Deposits Definitions A vein-type deposit is a fairly well defined zone of mineralization, usually inclined and discordant, which is typically narrow compared to its length and depth.

Most vein deposits occur in fault or fissure openings or in shear zones within country rock. Mortons Mill vein, exposure near Boone Creek, N of KY ; foot-long vein: barite, calcite, fluorite, sphalerite.

Asked in Geology, Geography, Rockhounding and Mineral Collecting. Vein Mineral Deposits includes a considerable variety of ore deposits formed under various conditions by the concentration of the ore from the molten rock in process of cooling, and its subsequent deposition in fissures and joints, crevices, and pores; or the accompanying solvents make room for the ore by dissolving the rock and carrying it away.

My femoral vein is duplicated, and I had a DVT from my popliteal up through my femoral vein. There are studies that show that duplicated veins have a higher incidence of DVTs.

It's also been reported that a DVT in a duplicate vein has a tendency to be silent as there is collateral blood flow in the duplicated s: 4.Figure 1.
